This position will drive the growth and development of our water resources practice. The position's primary focus will be Minnesota, but will also include opportunities to grow the practice in the upper midwest, surrounding region, and across the United States as appropriate.Key Responsibilities:Lead the execution of water resources projects for services including the following: Planning, modeling and/or design of stormwater improvements, including open channels, storm or combined sewer systems, and stormwater detention/retention facilitiesPlanning and/or design of green infrastructure and sustainable watershed measures, including structural BMPsPlanning and/or design of flood mitigation improvements, including dams, levees, reservoirs, and pump stationsErosion and sediment control planning and design, including SWPPP developmentRegulatory compliance and permitting efforts for USACE, FEMA, and other environmental permit submittalsProvide business development leadership to identify and capture the above servicesBuild client relationships throughout the target geography to drive growth of the businessLead the execution of the services listed above and act as Project ManagerInterface with innovative stormwater, water quality, and planning partners to leverage new technologies and approaches for the benefit of our clientsProvide technical mentorship to professionalsIdentify, recruit, and supervise earlier-career professionalsSupport the development and growth of the larger Planning business by identifying and supporting water supply, water and wastewater masterplan, asset management, and condition assessment opportunitiesPreferred Qualifications:11+ years of water resources planning and design experienceExperience developing and executing water resource planning and design projectsHave proficiency with some or all of the following applications and models HEC-RAS HEC-HMS EPA/XP-SWMM InfoWorks EFDC CFD ArcGIS Cityworks, Lucity, or other Asset Management/CMMS systemsExperience with regulatory requirements and proceduresDrive client-facing/business development effortMinimum Qualifications:Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing.Minimum of 11 years related work experience.Professional Engineer (P.E.)Work Environment/Physical Demands: Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based upon manager discretion, job performance and work assignments.Salary Plan ENG: Engineering Job Grade 017Black & Veatch endeavors to make www.bv.com/careers accessible to any and all users.
