Lead Childcare Toddler Teacher
Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Teacher to join our early childhood education team. In this role, you will take the lead in creating a nurturing, structured, and engaging classroom environment that supports each child's growth and development. You will be responsible for planning and implementing age-appropriate curriculum, guiding classroom staff, and fostering strong relationships with children and families. Your leadership will play a key role in ensuring a high-quality learning experience that promotes social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Duties
* Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and daily activities for your assigned age group
* Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment that supports all children
* Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times
* Lead and support assistant teachers and float staff within the classroom
* Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging independence, creativity, and social skills
* Communicate effectively with families regarding their child's progress, needs, and daily activities
* Observe and document children's development and milestones
* Maintain a clean, organized classroom, including sanitizing toys and materials regularly
* Ensure compliance with all state licensing regulations and center policies
* Collaborate with administration and team members to support overall center operations
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent (required)
* CDA, Associate's, or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (preferred)
* Previous experience in a childcare setting (required; lead experience preferred)
* Strong leadership and classroom management skills
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
* Reliable attendance and punctuality
* Ability to pass background check and meet state licensing requirements

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
