Flexible on days and start/end times.Location: Marion, OhioWe are seeking a licensed Optometrist to join a team-based community health center dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered vision care. This role offers the opportunity to diagnose and treat vision conditions while serving diverse and underserved populations in a collaborative clinical environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform comprehensive eye examinations while meeting established productivity goalsConduct vision testing and analyze results to diagnose refractive errors and eye diseases (e.g., glaucoma, vision impairment, injury)Prescribe corrective lenses and medications as appropriateEducate patients on eye health, preventative care, and vision correction optionsAddress patient questions and concerns with professionalism and compassionAnalyze and communicate diagnostic results clearly to patientsCheck prescription accuracy and proper fit of corrective lensesUtilize ophthalmic equipment properly and report maintenance concerns as neededCoordinate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient careDocument all examinations, prescriptions, and treatments accurately in the electronic health record (EHR)Refer patients to ophthalmology or other specialists when indicatedParticipate in staff development, training, and ongoing professional educationWork independently under general supervision while adhering to standard clinical protocolsQualificationsDoctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited institutionActive, unrestricted state optometry license in good standingMinimum of two (2) years of experience practicing as an optometristStrong working knowledge of ophthalmic diagnostic equipmentUp-to-date clinical knowledge of testing and treatment for eye injuries and diseasesCommitment to continuing education and staying current with advancements in optometryBenefitsHealth Insurance: Medical – Employer Pays 70%Dental & Vision coverageShort Term Disability /Long Term DisabilityEmployer Paid Life Insurance401K w/ 4% Match4 weeks of PTO7 paid HolidaysRelocation assistance negotiableCME, licensing, DEA, travel reimbursementFTCA malpractice coverage
