This is a great opportunity for individuals with hands-on work experience who want to move into a growing technical field with long-term career potential.You will work alongside experienced technicians and team leads supporting network infrastructure installations.Key ResponsibilitiesPull copper and fiber cablingLearn and apply cabling color codesPunch down and terminate cabling and fiberInstall cable trays, J-hooks, and pathwaysAssist with building and organizing server racksDrop cable down walls using fish tape and other methodsRoute cabling through commercial spaces and data centersOrganize, dress, label, and manage cable slack prior to terminationSupport cable using trays, J-hooks, D-rings, bridal rings, and trapeze systemsInstall grounding for racks, equipment, and cablingPerform firestopping procedures and install sleeves through penetrationsTerminate low-voltage devicesRead and follow prints and documentationComplete required paperwork accurately and on timeFollow company, customer, and industry safety and quality standardsPerform additional duties as assignedRequired SkillsWillingness to learn structured cabling and low-voltage systemsComfortable using hand tools and performing physical workAbility to work in construction and data center environmentsPreferred BackgroundHands-on experience in construction, landscaping, general labor, or material handlingTrade school or technical school graduates looking for real-world experienceAdditional QualificationsReliable, punctual, and able to work well on a teamFlexible schedule; ability to work 10-hour days if neededExperience LevelEntry-LevelThis is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in structured cabling and data center infrastructure.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Sandston, VA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
