Remote Therapist or Counselor

Join our dynamic team as a Remote Therapist or Counselor, where you will play a vital role in providing compassionate mental health support to diverse populations through telehealth platforms. This position offers the opportunity to deliver evidence-based psychotherapy, conduct diagnostic evaluations, and develop personalized treatment plans—all from the comfort of your home. You will work closely with clients of all ages, including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors, addressing a wide range of mental health concerns and behavioral issues. Your expertise will help empower individuals to achieve their wellness goals while enjoying the flexibility and convenience of remote work. Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to accurately identify client needs. Deliver individual, group, or family therapy sessions employing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis. Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure client safety during emergencies. Develop and monitor personalized treatment plans aligned with clinical best practices and patient goals. Maintain thorough medical documentation and behavioral health records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical terminology standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on case management, patient care coordination, and research initiatives to optimize treatment outcomes. Utilize telehealth technology effectively to provide engaging, confidential counseling sessions across various platforms. Proven experience in psychotherapy, clinical counseling, and mental health counseling across outpatient or inpatient settings. Strong knowledge of motivational interviewing techniques and behavior management strategies. Expertise in working with children, adolescents, individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, PTSD care, grief counseling, addiction counseling, chronic pain counseling, and geriatrics. Familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, medical records management, and medical terminology. Skilled in crisis intervention, crisis management, social work practices, and behavioral therapy methods including applied behavior analysis. Experience with telehealth platforms and delivering services remotely while ensuring HIPAA compliance. Ability to conduct intake assessments effectively while managing patient data collection and documentation requirements. Excellent communication skills for engaging clients in individual or group therapy settings; comfortable working with diverse populations including those with disabilities or gender issues counseling needs.
