Job Description Job Title : Senior Project Engineer or Project ManagerDepartment: EngineeringReports To: Senior Project Engineer or Project ManagerLocation: Houston, TexasFLSA Status:Summary:The Project Engineer II supports the planning, coordination, and execution of midstream oil & gas projects, including pipelines, compressor stations, pump stations, meter stations, and associated facilities. This role requires greater technical and project execution responsibility than Project Engineer I, with more autonomy in handling work assignments while still receiving guidance from senior project engineers or project managers. This role ensures that engineering deliverables are completed accurately, on schedule, and in compliance with project requirements and industry standards.Duties and Responsibilities:Assist in coordinating engineering deliverables and schedules across multiple disciplinesPrepare, review, and revise project documents, drawings, and specificationsPrepare material requisitions and perform vendor technical reviewsParticipate in design review meetings and assist in resolving technical issuesProvide engineering support during construction, commissioning, and startupReview and coordinate responses to RFIsSupport senior project engineers and project managers in monitoring the project schedule and budgetEnsure work meets quality, safety, and regulatory requirementsAbility to travel as requiredRequired Skills and Abilities:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, or related engineering discipline4–6 years of engineering experience, preferably in the oil & gas midstream sector (internship or co-op experience acceptable)Familiarity with industry codes and standards (ASME, API, DOT/PHMSA)Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skillsProficiency with MS Office and basic project scheduling toolsExperience with AutoCAD or similar toolsEIT certification preferred with progress towards acquiring P.E.Team player – able to communicate and relate well with othersPhysical Requirements:Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Occasional lifting of office supplies or equipment up to 20 pounds.Ability to move around the office for daily tasks and meetings, and job site visits (when required).Onward Solutions offers unprecedented opportunity for career advancement to those who seek reward for excellent performance, sound judgement and strong work ethic.
