The Occupational Therapist plans, organizes, and conducts occupational therapy programs to facilitate development and rehabilitation of mentally, physically, or emotionally disabled persons.Key ResponsibilitiesAssess and evaluate patients' physical and mental abilities, analyzing medical data to set realistic rehabilitation goals.Track and document patients' progress, preparing detailed reports on improvements or areas requiring additional support.Plan, organize, and implement occupational therapy programs tailored to individual patient needs.Select and design activities to help patients develop work and life-management skills, considering their physical and mental capabilities.Recommend environmental adjustments in patients' work or living spaces to improve independence and quality of life.Develop and facilitate social programs to help patients learn or regain skills necessary for work, school, or daily living.Prepare and organize therapeutic materials (e.g., puzzles, scissors, eating utensils) for use during therapy sessions.Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and organizational policies.Lead training sessions to educate patients and caregivers on occupational therapy techniques and objectives.The above is a summary of the position, it in no way states or implies that these are the only duties this position will be required to perform.
