We are committed to excellence in education and are seeking a Vice President of Finance to join our dynamic team and contribute to our fast growing organization Job Description: GVT Tire and Auto and Auto Pros of MN looking for a Vice President of Finance to oversee all financial aspects of our organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial management, strategic planning, and budgeting, as well as a strong commitment to our mission of providing exceptional complete auto care. Salary range: $100,000 - $175,000. This position could be a hybrid work from home position. Key Responsibilities: 1. Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and implement comprehensive financial plans, and forecasts to support the organization's growth objectives. Monitor financial performance and provide strategic recommendations to senior management. 2. Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly accrual financial statements, variance analysis, and key performance indicators (KPIs), to the President and Investor. 3. Month End Close: Plan, organize and perform month-end journal entries and reconciliations, including but not limited to: · Manage month-end workflow to ensure completeness. · Compile and analyze financial information to prepare journal entries into general ledger accounts and document transactions. · Review journal entries prepared by staff accountant. · Assist in preparing and/or review various account reconciliations (ex. accrued expenses, prepaid expenses, bank reconciliations, payroll reconciliations, deferred revenue, lease accounting) 4. Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flow and liquidity to ensure the organization's financial stability and sustainability. Develop and implement strategies to optimize working capital and mitigate financial risks. 5. Budget Management: Lead the annual budgeting process and collaborate with department heads to establish budget targets and allocations. Monitor budget performance and implement corrective actions as needed. 6. Financial Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, standards, and reporting requirements. Oversee internal controls and procedures to safeguard assets and maintain financial integrity. 7. Year End Closing: Plan, organize and coordinate the year-end close process including coordination with external Tax CPA. 8. Insurance Coordination: Compile and provide information for annual insurance audits. 9. Ensure Compliance: Oversee completion of licensing applications for all jurisdictions, track appropriately to ensure all renewals are received and submitted to AP for payment on time. 10. Lease Management: Maintain third-party relationships with landlords and subtenants, ensuring accurate payment under terms of leases and/or subleases. 11. Strategic Planning: Provide financial leadership and guidance in strategic planning initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, capital investments, and growth opportunities. Evaluate financial implications and risks associated with strategic decisions. 12. Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing finance team, providing mentorship, coaching, and professional development opportunities for direct reports within the department. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability within the finance department. Oversee treasury, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll administration functions. 13. Maintain third-party relationships with banks, lenders, and landlords. Qualifications: · Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred. · Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in financial management, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role. · Strong financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting skills. · Thorough understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance requirements. · Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities. · Proven track record of strategic planning, decision-making, and problem-solving. · Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. · Passion for the auto repair business and a commitment to the organization's mission.
