Podiatrist
OverviewTravel the gorgeous island of Oahu to treat patients with weekends off to enjoy Paradise! Part time position which will quickly expand to full time position in beautiful Hawaii. We are seeking a caring and compassionate podiatrist to join our practice on the island of Oahu. Responsibilities will include managing complex geriatric patients with extensive medical problems and handling podiatric and internal medicine emergencies. Housecalls and travel is required with this position.ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and manage disorders and diseases of the foot and lower leg.Perform in-depth history and physical examination of patients with complex medical histories.Treat complex diabetic foot infections and wounds in accordance with evidence based protocols.Manage podiatric emergencies such as critical limb ischemia, complex diabetic foot infections, sepsis, cellulitis, DVTs.Prescribe medication and therapies to treat conditions affecting the foot and ankle.Maintain excellent patient records and document all treatments.Qualifications- Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from an accredited school of podiatry-Required licensure and certification as outlined by the Board of Podiatric Medicine-Hawaii State licensure to practice podiatric medicine or eligibility.-DEA registration or eligibility-Proficiency with electronic health records systems.-Compassionate and caring physician with a desire to provide a high standard of care.Tips: Provide a summary of the role, what success in the position looks like, and how this role fits into the organization overall.Responsibilities[Be specific when describing each of the responsibilities.
