Project Engineer - PE

We are an innovative full-service general contractor specializing in early design-phase construction management for commercial, medical, continuing care, and behavioral health projects.Reporting StructureReports to: Senior Project Manager or Project Manager on assigned projectsRole PurposeAs a Project Engineer, you will support your project team with the daily execution of tasks, including RFI management, submittals, and subcontractor communication. This role serves as a key liaison between contractors, superintendents, project managers, and owners to ensure effective project coordination and communication. We are seeking a Project Engineer based in the Raleigh, NC area!ResponsibilitiesAssist in managing project schedules, material procurement, subcontractors, resources, and project documentation.Support the management of Owner Change Orders, Subcontractor Change Orders, RFIs, and project closeout processes.Perform building layout and control for line and grade work as needed.Conduct frequent site inspections to ensure installations align with approved submittals, shop drawings, and quality standards, contributing to the overall project schedule.Manage and document project submittals (Product Data, Shop Drawings, Samples, Mock-ups) with subcontractors, design teams, and owners to maintain project timelines.Participate in project kickoff meetings with the PM, Superintendent, and Estimator to discuss project setup, team structure, schedule, and strategy.Update and manage all contract drawings and specifications with the latest supplemental information, ensuring field operations have access to current documents.RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Building Science, or related field.1-2 years of experience with a general contractor.Understanding of building processes and systems.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Procore.Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication styles for different audiences.Must be able to travel 10-15% of the time.Perks & BenefitsHealth BenefitsUnlimited PTOContinuing EducationPersonal Growth & Development Opportunities401(k) PlanPaid Volunteer OpportunitiesGym Membership ReimbursementCell Phone AllowanceMonthly Social OutingsBenefitsVacation/PTOMedicalDentalVision401kBonusRelocation
