Senior Manager, Revenue Accounting

Reporting into the Chief Accounting Officer (CAO), this role ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance with GAAP, and supports continual process improvements, including AI initiatives and M&A diligence. You will be a thought partner to the CAO, a lead on the Accounting and Finance team, and a collaborative partner cross-functionally to drive financial integrity.ResponsibilitiesRevenue Management: Oversee revenue recognition processes and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, such as ASC 606. Includes cross-functional collaboration and ownership of dependent processes, such as fee share and rebates.Payroll, Bonus, and Commissions: Manage recording of payroll, bonus calculations, and commission accruals with accuracy and timeliness.Capitalized Software Accounting: Supervise capitalization of software development costs and related accounting entries.General Accounting: Prepare, review, and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly close activities; ensure accuracy of financial statements.Audit Support: Coordinate with external auditors, prepare documentation, and resolve audit queries promptly.Process Improvement: Identify and implement enhancements to accounting processes for efficiency, scalability, and accuracy.People Management: Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team; foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.CPA or equivalent certification.Minimum 10+ years progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles.(Preferred) 4+ years experience working in private equity-backed portfolio company environment(s) or equivalent investment banking experience.Strong technical knowledge of GAAP and revenue recognition principles.Proven experience managing payroll, commissions, and capitalized software accounting.Expertise in audit coordination.Proficiency in ERP systems and financial reporting tools.Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.Preferred QualificationsMaster's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.Experience in a high-growth or technology-driven environment.Familiarity with process automation and continuous improvement methodologies.Strong analytical skills with the ability to influence strategic decisions.Familiarity with systems called Business Central, PowerBI, Blackline, and Adaptive.BenefitsCompetitive compensation packageFree individual employee medical coverageCompany subsidized dental and vision coverageDollar for dollar 401(k) match up to 6% of your salary with immediate vestingCompany-paid Short-Term and Long-Term Disability coverageEmployee Assistance Program to support your wellbeing and mental health$1500 annual stipend for undergraduate/graduate college courses; $500 annual stipend for continuing education courses/certificationsFree snacks and beverages on-siteBrand new, state-of-the-art, tech-enabled work environment in downtown NashvilleFlexible/hybrid work culture
