Product Owner, AI-Augmented Delivery (Remote)

Job Summary: The Product Owner is a key liaison between market needs and delivery of a solution. In this role, the Product Owner owns the backlog end-to-end—writing clear epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria, collaborating with engineering and UX, and leveraging AI tools to work efficiently at scale.Duties and Responsibilities:Independently manage and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring the team always works on the highest-impact workAuthor well-structured epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria; leverage AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatPRD, Rovo) to produce and refine backlog artifacts efficiently and at scaleDesign and maintain reusable prompt templates for recurring PO tasks — story generation, acceptance criteria drafting, refinement prep — so AI-assisted output is consistent and team-readyLead the planning of product release plans and set expectations for delivery of new functionalitiesConfirm that executed stories comply with Neumo’s Definition of DoneCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, sales, and customer support, to ensure successful product releasesEngage with customers and stakeholders to gather, validate, and translate requirements into actionable backlog itemsFacilitate agile ceremonies (sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives) and drive continuous improvementEnsure product decisions align with user needs, business goals, and technical capabilitiesWork closely with senior leadership to inform product strategy and provide updates on product progress and milestonesMonitor and report on product performance, quality, and usage metricsPerform other duties as assigned Education and Experience:3+ years' experience working in Agile methodology and a deep understanding of various phases of the Software Development Life Cycle; preferably in Product Owner or Business Analyst rolePublic sector software or familiarity with judicial systems is a strong differentiatorProficiency with tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, and Figma; experience with AI productivity tools (e.g., Claude, ChatPRD, Copilot) to accelerate story creation and analysis; Familiarity with technical concepts including APIs, middleware, services, and SQLKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Proficiency in prompt engineering as applied to product work — structuring context-rich, role-specific prompts that generate well-formed epics, stories, and acceptance criteria, and iterating on prompts to achieve alignment with Definition of Ready/DoneStrong written communication skills and client presence; able to translate effectively between technical and business audiencesAbility to create epics, user stories, user journeys, wireframes, and basic diagrams to convey ideas Able to juggle multiple competing priorities Ability to persuade, encourage and motivate others to beat deadlines Work Environment:The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as the employee works in an office setting, at an individual work station, using telephone and computerPhysical Demands:Must be able to remain in a stationary position for most of the dayConstantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a printer/copy machineThis position needs to occasionally move about inside the officeThe person in this position frequently communicates via telephoneNeumo Summary:With the backing of four decades of public sector expertise and corporate capability, Neumo has successfully supported government services.
