You'll be the driving force behind some of our most complex analytical challenges, a trusted advisor to customers and colleagues alike, and a mentor who elevates the entire team around you.What You'll DoOwn the ScienceServe as our resident mass spectrometry expert, leading method development, troubleshooting, and advanced analytical studiesApply cutting-edge MS techniques to solve complex, real-world scientific challengesProvide expert-level technical guidance to internal teams and external customersStay ahead of emerging technologies and continuously push the boundaries of what our laboratory can doLead & InspireTrain and mentor laboratory staff on mass spectrometry instrumentation and techniquesProvide technical and operational oversight for the MS laboratory areaAuthor and revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure best-in-class performanceInitiate and lead high-impact laboratory projects from concept to completionDrive Continuous ImprovementIdentify and implement process improvements and significant cost-saving initiativesManage multiple projects and deadlines with precision and accountabilityEnsure full compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) and Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) requirementsStay Hands-OnPerform advanced, research-level analytical techniques and scientific studiesCalibrate, maintain, and optimize mass spectrometry instrumentationExecute routine and complex laboratory testing per established SOPsManage inventory for required operating materials.QualificationsWhat You BringRequiredBachelor's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related scientific field5+ years of hands-on analytical laboratory experience, with significant focus on mass spectrometryDeep theoretical and practical expertise in MS techniques and instrumentationProven track record in method development, process improvement, and project leadershipStrong ability to troubleshoot complex instrumentation and analytical challengesExcellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skillsProficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to thrive in a high-volume, deadline-driven laboratory environment.PreferredMaster's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related scientific field15+ years of hands-on analytical laboratory experience, with significant focus on mass spectrometryExpert skills in complementary techniques such as spectroscopy, spectrophotometry, microscopy, electrochemistry, chromatography, extractions, or metallographyDeep knowledge of industrial water and/or process systems and associated treatment solutionsExperience with LabWare or a similar LIMSExperience in an ISO 9001 (or equivalent) certified organizationStrong public speaking skills.Additional InformationAt Veolia, we realize diverse teams make smarter decisions, deliver better results, and build strongercommunities.
