Supervisor provides consistent, high-quality service in a sanitary environment while ensuring State, Local, Federal and Joint Commission regulations, established policies and procedures and department standards of performance are met.What you will do in this role:Evaluates existing systems and processes, initiates change and improvements, and makes suggestions to ManagerSupervises the effective operation of all Environmental Services activities in the organization to provide for an aseptic and aesthetically pleasing environment through coordinating and supervising all functions of the departmentLeads and supervises the daily operations of the Environmental Services Department assigned areas encompassing but not limited to all patient and non-patient areas of assigned square footageProvides for a well-trained and competent staff through supervision and coordination in relation to all departmental activities, as assignedMaintains a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessarySupports the development and implementation of strategies to elevate the patient's experienceAssumes responsibility for promoting consistent, positive patient interactions in an effort to meet or exceed HCAHPS goalsAchieves Employee Engagement goals and objectives supporting full and timely compliance with staff development to include training and education, competency assessment and performance reviews, as assignedMonitors the purchase of chemical supplies, equipment, linen and other supplies to meet the needs of assigned hospital and hospital/department campusEnforces department productivity to assigned goals and objectives to maximize operational efficiency, optimum use of resources and cost minimizationMonitors costs to achieve Net Spend per APD goals and objectivesSupervises and maximize the compliance of HealthTrust contracted vendorsPerforms other duties as assignedPractices and adheres to the "Code of Conduct" and "Mission and Value Statement."What qualifications you will need:High School Diploma, requiredMinimum of three years' experience in environmental services or hospitality, requiredKnowledge of hospital and health care operations, preferredKnowledge of hospital and health care financial metricsMinimum of one-year experience in supervisory position, preferredBenefitsDel Sol Medical Center, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
