Data Center Mechanical Engineer

Manage mechanical system issues across the entire project life-cycle, including concept design, detailed design, procurement, bidding, manufacturing, delivery, installation, and on-site commissioning.Perform technical evaluations and due diligence of market-available multi-tenant facilities to evaluate designs based on program requirements, redundancy, availability targets, and potential single points of failure.Interface with cross-functional groups to deliver thermal and mechanical solutions.Drive technical due diligence and Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) to reinforce standards across all regions.Prepare critical documentation such as facility audits and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analyses.Ensure compliance with codes and standards in mechanical systems design.Provide technical leadership within a matrix organization.Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or related discipline.5 years of experience in mission critical facility design and construction.Experience with mechanical distribution systems and cooling systems in data centers.Proficiency in engineering software packages for design and evaluation.Ability to travel up to 30% of the time domestically and internationally.Preferred: Master's degree in Engineering or related field.Understanding of interrelated cross-functional issues including structural, civil, IT/Telecom, and electrical aspects.
