Part Time Kennel Attendant

We offer comprehensive preventative “well patient” care, as well as complete medical, surgical (including laser surgery), digital X-ray, dental, reproductive, laboratory, and geriatric services. Responsibilities and Duties This position requires candidates to perform the following types of duties, however, this list is not all-inclusive: Walking, feeding, and administering medications to boarding patients. Assist in creating and maintaining a high quality kennel environment that benefits the animal’s health and well-being. Record animal behavior and recognize unusual behavior. Laundry and daily cleaning procedures. Maintaining hospital premises. Assisting Doctors and Technicians when necessary. Qualifications and Skills The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications/skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to be a self starter Ability to multitask Excellent attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills Experienced in the teamwork approach and can work well with all hospital staff Ability to lift and carry animals, walk, or stand for extended periods of time This is an entry-level position and will require rotating weekends.
