As scale continues, it is time to add an experienced accounting professional to support the growing property platform.Position OverviewThis role is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of a designated portfolio of retail properties. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in property accounting, thrives in a fast-paced growth environment, and enjoys partnering with operations and property management teams. This is a hybrid role based in Franklin, TN, with regular in-office collaboration required.Key ResponsibilitiesProduce accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting for assigned propertiesPerform recurring and non-recurring accounting entries, including estimates and balance correctionsReview and tie out balance sheet accounts such as bank accounts, prepaid items, asset schedules, and obligationsPlay an active role in monthly and annual closing activitiesTrack, reconcile, and manage recoverable operating costs, including common area charges, property taxes, and insuranceParticipate in the development of annual operating budgets and periodic financial outlooksInvestigate and explain differences between planned and actual financial performancePartner with property management teams to review expenses, operating trends, and tenant-related activityPrepare and review tenant invoices for rent, operating expense reimbursements, and other billable chargesSupport annual reconciliation processes and tenant settlements related to operating cost recoveriesProvide schedules, reports, and supporting detail to external audit and tax advisors as requestedEnsure accounting practices align with GAAP standards and internal control requirementsMaintain well-organized financial files and supporting documentationManage end-to-end accounts receivable and accounts payable processes for assigned propertiesQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)3–5 years of experience Experience handling full-cycle AP and ARStrong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlinesComfortable working in a growing organization where processes continue to evolveWhy Join Be part of a company with strong momentum and long-term growth plansExposure to a high-quality retail real estate portfolioCollaborative team environment with visibility into leadershipThis is a hybrid role based in Franklin, TN, with regular in-office collaboration required.
