Men's Apparel Department Supervisor

OverviewAs the Men's Apparel Department Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the daily operations and sales performance of the department. You will ensure top-notch customer service, drive sales growth, support and mentor team members, and maintain a clean and visually appealing shopping environment. In this role, you will also assist store leadership and take on additional responsibilities when the Store Manager or Assistant Manager is unavailable. Duties and ResponsibilitiesEmbrace and promote the 'Cavender's Culture' by aligning with our Mission, Vision, and Values. Lead and motivate department associates to provide outstanding customer service, focusing on sales optimization through customer engagement and efficient operations. Ensure compliance with store and company policies, maintaining a thorough knowledge of all aspects. Regularly monitor and maintain the department's appearance, cleanliness, and organization to represent Cavender's brand effectively. Assist in the recruitment, training, and onboarding of new associates in the department. Track departmental performance metrics and contribute to achieving overall store goals related to sales, payroll, and customer satisfaction. Oversee timecard management for department associates, addressing any discrepancies. Engage actively in personal selling, becoming a product expert and trainer for the department. Coach team members on effective sales techniques, product knowledge, and performance expectations. Open and close the department and store as needed, supporting overall store operations. Address and escalate customer concerns and personnel issues in a timely manner. Implement shrinkage control and loss prevention strategies, promptly reporting any issues. Contribute to maintaining a safe and secure shopping environment and report any potential hazards. Assist store leadership with various store initiatives and complete other assigned duties. Qualifications and RequirementsDemonstrated success in driving sales and managing a retail department effectively. Excellent ability to achieve results, develop team talent, and provide exceptional customer service. Strong comprehension and communication skills for interpreting instructions and documents.
