Job Description Forklift Operator (Stand-Up, Narrow Aisle Sit-Down & Order Picker)1st shift.Job SummaryThe Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating multiple types of powered industrial trucks including stand-up forklifts, narrow aisle sit-down forklifts, and order pickers to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise within a warehouse or distribution center. The operator ensures efficient product handling while maintaining safety and accuracy.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate stand-up forklifts, narrow aisle sit-down forklifts, and order picker equipment to transport materials throughout the warehouse.Pick and stage customer orders using an order picker at various rack heights.Load and unload trucks, pallets, and containers safely and efficiently.Move products to storage locations while maintaining inventory accuracy.Perform cycle counts and inventory checks when required.Follow warehouse management system (WMS) instructions using RF scanners or pick sheets.Inspect forklifts daily and complete pre-shift safety checks.Maintain clean aisles and organized storage locations.Follow OSHA safety regulations and company policies for powered industrial truck operation.Assist with general warehouse duties as needed.QualificationsPrevious experience operating stand-up forklift, narrow aisle sit-down forklift, and order picker preferred.Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.Experience working in warehouse or distribution center environments.Ability to read pick lists, use RF scanners, and follow inventory systems.Strong attention to safety, accuracy, and productivity.Physical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.Comfortable working at heights when operating order pickers.Ability to stand, bend, and move for extended periods.Work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.Work EnvironmentWarehouse or distribution center setting.May include cold storage, narrow aisles, and high-rack storage systems.Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.Labor Solutions is an equal opportunity employer.
