Job Description Salary: $19/hr DOEPart-Time Leasing AgentAlbany, OregonSchedule: The role requires a flexible schedule, including weekendsMDI Management is seeking a highly motivated Leasing Agent to join our team. This position is ideal for someone with at least one year of strong customer service experience who enjoys interacting with prospects and residents in a fast-paced environment. While prior leasing experience is preferred, candidates with excellent communication and service skills are encouraged to apply.Key ResponsibilitiesLeasing & Customer ServiceProfessionally greet and qualify prospects using effective sales techniquesConduct property and model tours, highlighting features and benefitsComplete guest cards and accurately track all leadsFollow up consistently with prospects and confidently close leasesRefer prospects to sister communities when appropriateAssist applicants with completing applications, securing deposits, and coordinating move-insSecure signatures on lease documents and all move-in paperworkProcess applications including rental history verification, employment verification, and background checksAdministrative DutiesDocument all prospect traffic (phone and walk-ins) dailyMaintain organized guest card filing per company proceduresUpdate vacancy reports daily by 10:00 a.m.Prepare leases and renewals; accurately enter data into AppFolioPost and update Craigslist ads multiple times dailyRefresh and maintain AppFolio marketing listings dailyRespond promptly to voicemails and emails each morningReturn missed calls and schedule appointments dailyPost community notices under supervisionMarketing & Community OutreachMonitor advertising performance (Craigslist, Facebook, AppFolio, etc.)Generate new leads through proactive outreachAssist with distributing flyers, newsletters, and promotional materialsConduct competitive market shops twice monthly and report findingsProperty Presentation & Maintenance SupportConduct weekly vacant unit and patio walks; report maintenance needsEnsure show units are clean, staged, and tour-readyPerform daily and weekly clubhouse upkeepMonitor exterior signage and property curb appeal dailyResident Retention SupportAssist with renewal offers and follow-up communicationSubmit maintenance service requests in AppFolio and follow up as neededAnswer resident questions regarding rent, lease terms, amenities, and policiesSupport resident events by distributing invitations and assisting with hostingQualificationsMinimum 1 year of strong customer service experience requiredPrevious apartment leasing experience preferredExperience with AppFolio or similar property management software preferredStrong organizational and time-management skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProfessional presentation and positive attitudeAbility to work independently during scheduled hoursBenefits:Full-time employees are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off, health insurance, retirement options, and additional perks.Part-time employees are eligible for sick leave and access to property amenities.MDI Management provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.This policy applies to all terms and conditions of employment, including recruiting, hiring, placement, promotion, termination, layoff, recall, transfer, leaves of absence, compensation, and training.
