Connecticut Institute for Communities, Inc.Description:CIFC Norwalk Early Learning Program / Norwalk Head Start is seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Service Coordinator to lead and support our Social Services team. This role provides both strategic oversight and hands-on leadership to ensure comprehensive family support services that promote child and family well-being.The Social Service Coordinator supervises a team of approximately five (5) Social Services staff and plays a key role in strengthening community partnerships, promoting parent engagement, and ensuring compliance with program eligibility and enrollment requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide direct supervision, coaching, and performance management to the Social Services teamOversee program eligibility, enrollment processes, and ongoing compliance with Head Start and Early Learning Program requirementsDevelop and maintain strong local community partnerships to support families needsLead and coordinate parent involvement initiatives and family engagement activitiesSupport and integrate mental wellness and family support services within the programCollaborate with program leadership and multidisciplinary teams to enhance service deliveryEnsure accurate documentation, reporting, and adherence to all applicable regulations and standardsCoordinate enrollment recruitment and monitor enrollment eligibility standards for (ERSEA) Eligibility, Recruitment, Selection, Enrollment, and Attendance.Requirements:Minimum: Bachelors degree in Social Work or a related human services fieldPreferred: Masters degree in Social Work (MSW), or in pursuit.Experience working with mental wellness or behavioral health services strongly preferredPrior supervisory or team leadership experience strongly preferredKnowledge of community-based services, family systems, and early childhood or Head Start programs is a plusStrong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skillsBilingual capabilities are preferred.Compensation details: 48000-60000 Yearly SalaryPI848ff96dbf17-31181-40388739RequiredPreferredJob IndustriesOther
