Basic Machine OperatorFountain Avenue Plant - Bryan, TX 77801OverviewSalary Range $16.00 - $17.00 Hourly Position Type Full Time Job Shift DayBasic Machine OperatorJob Summary: Responsible for operating machines to produce cabinet components for doors, drawers, frames, and boxes.Duties and Responsibilities:Matches parts for door assembly.Off loads machines in the door department.Operates machines within the department after training and certification.Organizing parts prior to sand master.Buffer maintenance.Putty and hand sanding doors.Quality inspection of built doors.Maintain no more than a 1% reject rate per workday.All other duties and responsibilities assigned by team leader and supervisorMachines may include, but not limited to:Table sawDado sawMMTJVoorwoodChop sawEdge banderMulti boreShapers / planers/ profilersQualifications:Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.Read and use tape measureRead and understand labels and cut listsMust be able to identify wood and plywood types and sizes of materialsEssential Functions of the Job:Stand and walk up to twelve hours per day on concrete surfaces while loading and stacking cabinets in the factory.Physically carry and transport items for long distances up to twelve hours a day.Must be able to lift, carry, and transport material which range in accordance with the requirements listed in the matrices below for up to twelve hours a day.Must be able to communicate effectively with management and coworkers by phone or in-person.Frequently bend, stoop, reach grasps, twist, push, and pull items which range in accordance with the requirements listed in the matrices below for up to twelve hours a day.Must be mentally altered and capable of remembering oral instructions and routine tasks.Must be able to withstand fluctuations in temperature and environmental fluctuations.Must be able to work the required daily and weekly work hours as determined by the schedule.Good attendance and punctuality are necessary.Must exemplify through appearance and behavior the company's image of excellence.Must be alert and able to identify and respond to a hazard by either reporting it immediately, or by taking corrective measures if directed.II.
