OVERVIEW:Our client, a Global Fortune 50 organization and one of world’s largest distributors of Health care systems, medical supplies & Pharmaceutical products, seeks an accomplished Pharmacist.IMPORTANT NOTES:This will be an onsite role.Location: 11800 Weston Parkway, Cary, NC 27513 (Onsite for up to 6 months, then potential hybrid based on performance metrics)Duration: 3 months assignment with possible extensionTraining Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM ESTPost-Training Schedule: Monday – Friday with a mix of 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM EST and 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM EST shiftsMinimum of three late shifts (11:00 AM – 8:00 PM EST) per week40 hours per weekMust-Have Requirements:Active Pharmacist license in North Carolina in good standingMinimum 2–3 years of direct patient counseling experienceMust live within one hour driving distance of 11800 Weston Parkway, Cary, NC 27513Comfortable counseling patients and being on the phone for 7–8 hours dailyStrong written and verbal communication skillsDetail-oriented with strong customer service skillsRESPONSIBILITIES:Conduct comprehensive clinical reviews of pharmacotherapy for patientsCounsel patients on new drug therapies and treatment plansPerform drug utilization reviews, interaction screening, and side effect profilingDocument pharmacotherapy reviews and patient progress accuratelyCoordinate patient care with clinicians and healthcare providersSupport patients and caregivers with subcutaneous therapy teachingProcess and verify prescriptions accurately and efficientlyEnsure compliance with federal, state, and Board of Pharmacy regulationsPerform quality assurance checks on prescription productsAssist pharmacy technicians with pharmacy claims adjudicationMonitor hazardous waste material management within the pharmacyOversee aseptic techniques and pharmacy technician activitiesParticipate in adverse event and product quality complaint reportingProvide on-call pharmacist coverage as neededSupport implementation of clinical management models and specialty therapiesDeliver exceptional customer service and relationship management with patients and cliniciansQUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy3–5 years of post-graduate pharmacy operations and patient care experienceCurrent unrestricted Pharmacist license in good standingLicensed in North Carolina, Texas, or Kentucky to practice pharmacyAbility to obtain additional state licensure as neededStrong working knowledge of pharmacy operations and clinical oversightWorking knowledge of sterile technique and quality control practicesProficiency with computers and word processing applicationsMeets or exceeds current continuing education requirements pursuant to Board of Pharmacy lawsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced specialty pharmacy environmentStrong collaboration and relationship-building skillsExcellent organizational and multitasking abilitiesCommitment to ongoing learning and professional developmentAbility to provide outstanding patient-centered careBCOP certification or willingness to become BCOP certified when eligibleSpecialty pharmacy experience preferredExperience supporting oncology or complex therapy patients preferredExperience working with REMS programs and specialty medications preferredI'd love to talk to you if you think this position is right up your alley, and assure a prompt communication, whichever direction.
