Senior Cost AccountantCompensation: Up to $130KA respected manufacturing organization is adding a Senior Cost Accountant to its finance team. This role will be heavily involved in manufacturing finance, inventory analysis, and operational support while partnering closely with plant leadership to improve processes, reporting, and overall cost visibility.The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, analyzing operational data, and helping leadership make informed business decisions.Position Highlights for Senior Cost Accountant:Key finance partner to manufacturing and operations teamsOpportunity to improve costing accuracy and operational efficienciesStable company with a collaborative and supportive leadership groupStrong mix of strategic analysis and day-to-day accounting involvementVisible role with impact across plant operations and financial performanceKey Responsibilities of Senior Cost Accountant:Maintain and monitor standard costing, inventory valuation, and manufacturing allocationsAnalyze labor, material, and overhead variances and provide recommendationsSupport month-end close, financial reporting, and operational analysisReview manufacturing processes including BOMs, routings, and inventory controlsAssist with cycle counts, physical inventory, and inventory reserve analysisPrepare margin analysis and additional reporting for operations leadershipPartner with cross-functional teams on cost savings and process improvement initiativesSupport audit requests, internal controls, and ERP/system enhancementsPreferred Qualifications for Senior Cost Accountant:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance5+ years of manufacturing cost accounting experienceStrong understanding of inventory accounting and standard costingExperience supporting plant operations and manufacturing leadershipERP system experience and advanced Excel skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environmentProcess improvement mindset with strong analytical skills preferred#INMAY2026 #LI-CC2
