MES Infrastructure Support EngineerLocation: Minnetonka, Minnesota (Onsite)Summary: The MES Infrastructure Support Engineer will provide L2/L3 operational support for our global Manufacturing Execution System (MES) infrastructure across various manufacturing sites. This role is critical in ensuring the availability, performance, patching, backup/restore, and disaster recovery of the MES systems while adhering to IT/OT constraints. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and a customer-service mindset.Mandatory Skills:Proven experience in infrastructure support, specifically within MES environments.Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux server administration.Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).Familiarity with storage and backup operations and monitoring.Basic database support skills, particularly with SQL.Proficient in scripting and automation (PowerShell/Bash).Understanding of configuration and patch management practices.Knowledge of core IT/OT services (AD/DNS/NTP, certificates) and system hardening techniques.Experience with incident, change, and problem management practices.Preferred Skills:Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.Ability to prioritize tasks effectively under pressure.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact clearly with shop floor and central teams.Customer-service mindset with a focus on collaboration.Commitment to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.10 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure support, with a focus on MES systems.Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., Microsoft, VMware) are a plus
