8:00 AM – 8:00 PM | 2-2-3 schedule

Position Summary
The Production Supervisor is responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing all production and employee activities on their assigned shift. This individual serves as a dependable, approachable leader who promotes a culture of safety and accountability, ensures production targets are met, and delivers quality products that meet specifications. Duties may be carried out personally or through subordinate team members.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Supervise and report on shift production activities to ensure quality, safety, and adherence to specifications.
Communicate with cross-functional teams to meet production goals and customer deadlines.
Analyze production and operations reports to identify and resolve manufacturing or maintenance issues.
Conduct machine inspections to ensure performance, safety, and optimal use.
Develop or update operational procedures; ensure employee compliance with standards.
Lead by example in fostering a safety-first, 5S-compliant, and continuous improvement of culture.
Understand and manage raw material blending (concentrate, additives, repellitized materials).
Ensure proper startup/shutdown of extrusion and downstream equipment (pullers, coilers, etc.).
Identify non-conforming material (NCM), troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions.
Conduct effective shift handovers by communicating key updates across teams.
Training Requirements
General Safety and Housekeeping Standards
Quality training, including defect identification and escalation
PE pipe coiling and unloading procedures
Gasket installation and extrusion troubleshooting
Wall thickness, outer diameter (O.D.), and ovality measurements
Tool use: micrometers, O.D. tape, calipers
Mold block setup and gap adjustments on corrugated lines
Material blending, introduction of repellitized material, concentrate, and purge procedures
Reliable transportation is required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proven supervisory skills in training, coaching, performance management, and conflict resolution
Knowledge of manufacturing safety and quality practices
Preferred experience with Lean, OSHA 10, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate teams, delegate effectively, and foster collaboration
Protective Equipment (PPE)
Safety footwear (steel or composite toe) is required in all production/warehouse areas
Safety glasses must be worn in designated areas (provided)
Additional PPE must be worn for specific tasks as directed
Physical Demands
Regular standing, bending, walking, and lifting (40–50 lbs frequently; up to 80 lbs occasionally)
Must be able to lift, move, and stack coils up to six feet high
Frequent use of hands for handling pipe, equipment, and materials
Work Environment
Exposure to typical manufacturing environments, including loud noise and moving mechanical parts
Work area temperature may vary based on external conditions and equipment operation
Steel-toe footwear, hearing protection, and safety goggles are mandatory in production areas
