Uplift just closed its seed round and is building a team and facility in Austin, TX.Role DescriptionWe are seeking a full-time Mechanical Engineer to join our team in an on-site role based in the Austin, Texas Metropolitan Area. The selected candidate will be responsible for designing and improving mechanical components, utilizing CAD tools for drafting and modeling, and contributing to machine design and prototyping. Additional responsibilities include project management duties, collaborating across disciplines, and conducting research and development to enhance product functionality and performance.QualificationsProficiency in Mechanical Engineering principles and Machine DesignExperience using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for drafting and modelingBackground in Research and Development (R&D) and innovation for product improvementStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic startup environmentBachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related fieldExperience in sustainable design or housing construction is a plus
