About The RoleTo establish and maintain effective document control governance within the Program and Project Management Office (P&PMO), ensuring the integrity, standardisation, traceability, compliance, and version control of all program and project execution documentation across the project lifecycle.This role focuses on the governance and control of PMO and project execution documentation, aligned with PMBOK best practices and organisational governance frameworks, and is distinct from engineering configuration management or product baseline control functions.The role enables the delivery of accurate, audit-ready, and accessible project information to support effective project execution, reporting, compliance, and decision-making within a highly regulated environment.Qualifications & ExperienceRelevant tertiary qualification (Business Administration, Technical Writing, or related discipline)Certification in Document Control, Project Management or Quality Management (e.g. ISO 9001) is advantageous3–7 years’ experience in document control or project administrationProven experience within engineering, technical, or regulated environmentsExposure to audit processes, certification requirements, and controlled documentation systems in a Project Management environmentKey Technical SkillsStrong expertise in document lifecycle management within controlled environmentsAdvanced knowledge of document control systems, metadata standards, and records managementSolid understanding of quality management systems, regulatory compliance, and audit requirementsHigh level of accuracy, attention to detail, and process disciplineStrong stakeholder engagement and coordination skillsAbility to work under pressure and manage competing prioritiesKey ResponsibilitiesDocument Lifecycle GovernanceEstablish, manage, and continuously improve document control processes across the full lifecycle—from creation to achieving to ensure standardisation, accuracy, traceability, and audit-ready records.Compliance, Quality and Audit ReportingEnsure all documentation complies with regulatory, contractual, and quality standards, maintains audit-ready records, supports audits and certification processes, and strengthens risk mitigation through effective document control practices.Document Repository and Information GovernanceAdminister and govern document repositories by ensuring secure storage, controlled access, data integrity, and standardised classification, while managing records, retention, and archiving processes to drive consistency across all documentation.Stakeholder enablement and coordinationEnable and coordinate stakeholders by supporting delivery teams in meeting documentation requirements, ensuring timely access to accurate information for audits and reviews, and acting as the central point of contact for document-related queries and updates across functions.Reporting and continuous improvementProvide reporting on document control performance and compliance, monitor process effectiveness, and drive continuous improvement initiatives while promoting best practices in document and information management across the organisation.Our recruitment values:HENSOLDT South Africa focuses on diversity, equity, and inclusion in our organisational strategy.
