Solutions (Presales/Sales) Engineer Location: Benelux, Netherlands RoleOverview At DevRev, Sales Engineers are customer-obsessed technical professionals who bridge the gap between cutting-edge product innovation and real customer needs. As a trusted advisor, you’ll support both direct sales cycles enabling customers as well as partners to fully understand, evaluate, and adopt DevRev solutions. You’ll blend technical acumen with storytelling, preparing and conducting tailored demos, guiding evaluations, and shaping proposals. In close collaboration with Sales, Product, and Engineering you’ll ensure customers and partners experience DevRev not just as a product, but as a strategic platform powering their success. KeyResponsibilities Provideexperttechnicalguidancethroughoutthesalescycle,addressingcustomerquestionswithclarityandconfidence. Partnerwithaccountteamstounderstandusecases,uncoverpainpoints,anddesigntailoredsolutions. Deliverengagingproductdemos,PoCs,andproofsofvaluethatshowcaseDevRev’sdifferentiatorsandbusinessimpact. ContributetoRFP/RFIresponsesandcreatecompellingproposalsalignedtocustomerneeds. BuildstrongrelationshipsasatrustedtechnicaladvisorandensuresmoothhandoffstoCustomerSuccess. Supportcustomization,integrations,andconfigurationsincollaborationwithProductandEngineering. Provideearly-stageonboardingsupportandissueresolutionwhenneeded. EquippartnerSEs,resellers,andintegratorstoindependentlydrivesales. Deliverworkshops,bootcamps,certifications,andco-createjointserviceofferings. Trainsalesteamsonproductupdates,technicalcapabilities,andcompetitivepositioning. Qualifications&Skills Bachelor’sorMaster’sdegreeinComputerScience,Engineering,orrelatedfield. 5+yearsofexperienceinSolutions/SalesEngineering,ideallywithinB2BSaaS. Familiaritywithenterprisesalesmethodologies(e.g.,CommandoftheMessage,MEDDICC). Strongdiscoveryandconsultativesellingmindset. Excellentcommunicationandstorytellingabilities,comfortablewithbothtechnicalandexecutivestakeholders.Skilledpresenterandwhiteboardcommunicator. Effectivecross-functionalcollaboratoracrossSales,Product,andCustomerSuccess.Adaptiveinunstructuredenvironments;flexibleteamplayerwhoembracesalltasks. StrongtechnicalacumenacrossAPIs,integrations,DevOps,cloudplatforms,andmodernSaaSstacks.ExperienceconsumingAPIsandwebhooks(e.g.,Postman)andconfiguringintegrations. Familiaritywithmajorcloudplatforms(AWS,Azure,GCP)andbasicdatabasequeryingwithSQL. ExperiencewithGenAItools(e.g.,Cursor,VSCode+Copilot),promptdesign,andLLM-basedworkflows(chatbots,ticketdeflection,AIassistants). Willingnesstotravelupto50%asneeded.
