Nurse Extern Medical Cardiology Stepdown PRN

Mission Health, based in Asheville, NC, is seeking a Nurse Extern for our Medical Cardiology Stepdown unit on a PRN basis. In this role, you will work under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse to provide high-quality, compassionate care to adult and cardiac stepdown patients in a fast-paced, acute care environment. As a vital member of our interdisciplinary team, you will assist with basic patient care activities such as vital signs, intake and output monitoring, hygiene, mobility support, and comfort measures, while gaining exposure to telemetry monitoring, cardiac-focused assessments, and post-procedural care. You will support the RN with admission and discharge processes, documentation in the electronic health record, equipment setup, and coordination of care, always adhering to safety, infection prevention, and hospital policies.
