Job Summary We are hiring Mechanical Assemblers for a full-time manufacturing opportunity in St. Charles, IL. In this position, you will assemble large electrical switchgear cabinets and copper bus components using blueprints, measurements, hand tools, and power tools. This position is ideal for someone with mechanical ability, strong tape-measure skills, and experience working in a manufacturing or assembly environment. Responsibilities Read and follow blueprints, assembly drawings, and work instructions Build modular steel cabinets and copper bus assemblies Measure parts accurately using a tape measure Work with fractions and decimals Use hand and power tools, including drills and impact drivers Inspect completed assemblies for quality and accuracy Wear required personal protective equipment Follow all safety and quality procedures Maintain dependable attendance Work effectively with the production team Requirements Manufacturing or mechanical assembly experience preferred High school diploma/GED or relevant manufacturing experience Ability to read a tape measure, including fractions and decimals Ability to read blueprints or assembly drawings Experience using hand and power tools Good mechanical ability and attention to detail Ability to follow instructions and work safely Sufficient English to understand safety instructions, work documents, and production communication Willingness to complete a tape-measure assessment Physical Requirements Stand and use your hands throughout the shift Walk and bend frequently Frequently lift or move up to 40 pounds Move up to 100 pounds with assistance Work safely in a loud manufacturing environment Preferred Experience Experience with any of the following is especially valuable: Mechanical or electrical assembly Switchgear or electrical cabinets Control panels Industrial machinery or equipment Metal cabinets or enclosures Drills, impact drivers, or pneumatic tools Blueprints, schematics, or technical drawings Pay: From $20.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Application Question(s): Can you accurately read a tape measure using fractions such as 1/8, 1/16, and 1/32?
