You'll be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting lumber and building materials to local job sites using company trucks and equipment - meaning you'll be home every evening.THE NITTY GRITTYCheck weather and road conditions before departureCommunicate with dispatch regarding delivery status or issuesEnsure trailers are properly secured and hitched before departureFollow procedures for missing, damaged, or refused itemsLoad, organize, and secure materials to prevent shifting or damageMaintain and service the vehicle as needed and report major issuesMap and follow efficient delivery routesObtain required signatures or scans to complete deliveriesObey all traffic laws and adjust driving to conditionsPerform pre-and-post-trip inspectionsPlan and execute safe loading/unloading using a Moffett or other equipmentPull and transport towed loads under 10,000 lbs.Safely operate CDL A vehicles with a GVW over 26,000 lbs.Transport lumber and building materials to assigned destinationsVerify shipment contents against Bistrack documentationWHAT YOU NEEDQualifications:Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy materials safelyAbility to operate material-handling equipment (electric lifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, etc.)Ability to pass a background check and a drug screeningClean driving record with a calid CDL Class A licenseExperience operating a Moffett or willingness to be trainedHigh school diploma or GEDProficiency with GPS and routing systemsSkilled and confident driver, comfortable maneuvering large vehiclesTwo or more years of tractor-trailer or large-truck driving experience, preferredInterpersonal Skills:Ambition, self-motivation, and strong self-disciplineCommitment to Mans Lumber & Home's culture and core valuesCustomer-first mindset with strong professionalismStrong communication skillsWORK ENVIRONMENTThis role operates in outdoor, warehouse, and job-site environments with varying weather conditions, frequent interaction with customers, contractors, and team members, in a fast-paced, hands-on atmosphere that values safety and teamwork.PHYSICAL DEMANDSThis is a physically demanding, labor-intensive role that requires regular use of arms, hands, legs, and back. Drivers must be able to lift, bend, walk, and stand throughout the workday and consistently handle loads up to 80 lbs.POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORKThis is a full-time position. Standard hours are Monday through Friday, typically from 6:00AM to 5:00PM.
