The role involves performing CT scans to produce high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety and comfort.Responsibilities include scanning trauma and emergency cases, as well as outpatient, inpatient (including critical care), and research patients. The technologist may also assist with specialized CT-guided procedures and is responsible for following all radiation safety regulations as per New York State guidelines.Minimum Qualifications:Education:Graduate of an approved two-year AMA Radiologic Technology programHigh school diploma or equivalentLicensure & Certifications:New York State license in Diagnostic Radiography or limited permit to practice in New YorkARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certificationCurrent BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR/AED certification for Healthcare ProvidersExperience:Minimum 2 years of experience preferredEntry-level candidates may be considered based on skills and trainingSpecialty: Radiology – CT TechHonorVet Technologies Job ID #32298231.
