UX Designer

Akkodis is seeking a UX Designer for a Contract job with a client in Research Triangle Park (RTP), NC. The ideal candidate will lead end-to-end UX processes-research, strategy, ideation, design, and delivery-while working closely with product and engineering teams to deliver accessible, high-quality user experiences.Rate Range: $45/hour to $49/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.UX Designer job responsibilities include:• Lead full-cycle UX design from discovery to delivery across digital products and features.• Conduct user research including interviews, surveys, heuristic reviews, and usability testing.• Develop personas, journey maps, task flows, and information architectures.• Create wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, prototypes, and interaction design specifications.• Collaborate with product managers and engineering teams to translate concepts into functional product outcomes.• Use data, insights, and customer feedback to iterate and improve designs.• Ensure all UX deliverables comply with brand guidelines, accessibility standards (WCAG), and UX best practices.• Facilitate design workshops, brainstorming sessions, and design critiques.• Contribute to and enhance design systems and maintain reusable UI components.• Advocate for user-centered design across teams and stakeholders.Desired Qualifications:• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, HCI, Interaction Design, or related field.• 5-8 years of UX design experience building web and/or mobile digital products.• Strong portfolio demonstrating UX processes, problem-solving, research, and high-quality designs.• Expertise with UX tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Miro, or similar platforms.• Strong understanding of UX principles, IA, interaction design, and user-centered methodologies.• Experience leading UX research and synthesizing qualitative/quantitative data.• Ability to create flows, wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes.• Excellent communication and presentation skills-able to justify design decisions.• Experience working in Agile or Scrum product teams.• Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) is a plus.If you are interested in this role, then please click APPLY NOW.
