From our clinicians to our support teams, every role contributes to helping others find their way forward.The Patient Accounts Receivable Specialist position provides exceptional customer service by responding to patient questions specific to a bill for medical services, processing payments, creating payment plans, all while adhering to company policies. The position will be staffed during office hours (8-4:30 pm).Responsibilities include:Handling incoming calls and assisting patients with account balance inquiries.Educating patients on EOBs, CPT codes, and diagnosis details to ensure clarity and understanding.Processing, collecting, and accurately posting payments to the system, maintaining financial integrity.Coordinating payment reporting and communicating details to collection agencies for timely follow-up.Delivering exceptional customer service via phone, resolving inquiries with professionalism and empathy.Demonstrating independent judgment to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.Ensuring compliance with clinic payment policies and procedures.Assisting with all other duties as assigned.Education:Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent.Desired: Post secondary education.Experience:Minimum: 2 years of revenue cycle experience in a healthcare setting.Knowledge:Ability to work independently with minimal instruction in a team environment.Understanding of CMS billing guidelines and professional clinic billing guidelines.Experience of PC, Windows and Microsoft Office.Knowledge of healthcare insurance and medical terminology.Good grammar, spelling and communication skills.Ability to multi-task.Why Join The Remedy:Be part of a purpose-driven organization transforming the way people experience mental health care.
