Carpenter
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a medium to strong background in various carpentry techniques and construction practices. This role involves working on diverse projects, from residential renovations to commercial builds, including handicap accessible modifications.
Responsibilities
Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard.
Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials using hand tools and power tools.
Perform frame carpentry for walls, floors, and roofs.
Install doors, windows, cabinets, and other fixtures.
Conduct drywall installation and finishing tasks, including taping and painting.
Perform installations of exterior ramps and stairlifts.
Assess project requirements through construction estimating to determine materials needed.
Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to ensure project completion.
Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Carpenter or similar role in the construction industry.
Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor for extended periods.
Strong English - oral and written communication skills are required.
License and vehicle required.
The ability to read blueprints and technical drawings is a plus.
Providing your own tools is a plus.
Spanish speaking is a plus.
Work is located in Springfield and East Longmeadow through 12/2025.
