Details Free-standing, 50-bed acute inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Madison, WI Inpatient rehab unit serving adults with high-acuity needs, including stroke, brain and spinal cord injuries, amputations, and complex orthopedic conditions Patient ratio of 1:7 Night shift hours: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour shifts) Every other weekend required, with holiday rotation On-call responsibilities required Equipment includes ceiling lifts, Sara Stedy, Sara Plus, slide boards, vital sign machines, EKG machines, and BGMs EMR: Epic (minimum 13 weeks of experience required) Floating not currently required, but candidates may be asked to float to a satellite IRF facility within 20 minutes in the future Requirements Active WI or Compact RN license required BLS certification required (AHA-issued) Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in a skilled nursing or other 24/7 skilled care environment Minimum 13 weeks of Epic experience required Med-surg or inpatient rehab experience strongly preferred SSN and date of birth required for consideration Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months Cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment Additional Information The unit can reach high acuity levels and functions similarly to a med-surg unit; all nurses are expected to assist CNAs and respond to call lights as needed CARF-accredited for Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation and Stroke Specialty Programs; also accredited by The Joint Commission 30-minute meal breaks are mandatory each shift and must be clocked out; two 15-minute paid breaks are provided per 12-hour shift Staff may not remain past their scheduled shift end time without house supervisor approval Local candidates are not accepted American Traveler Job ID P-689433.
