Floral Designer
Chapel Hill Floral is looking for an experienced floral designer to work in our shop. We are also willing to train the right candidate with artistic abilities.
You will be responsible for artistically arranging flowers to make everyday arrangements, wedding bouquets, funeral arrangements, wreaths, corsages, and other decorations. Primary responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Arrange both real and occasionally artificial flowers for display in the home or office, at events, and for display within the shop.
Fill special orders for holidays or other occasions.
Make traditional corsages, bouquets, wreaths, and wedding decorations, as well as other kinds of original designs.
Create original designs.
Negotiate price for arrangements.
Take orders in person, over the phone and from the website from customers, including special requests.
Attention to detail a must.
Fulfill large orders.
Work with clients to fulfill their vision for occasions such as weddings, funerals, or celebrations and events.
Work with a wide range of foliage and flowers.
Cut stems to proper length.
Keep flowers watered and fresh.
Discard wilting or dead flowers/arrangements.
Inform customers about the care, maintenance, and handling of flowers and foliage.
Provide advice and suggestions for flower selection.
Professional Certified Florist and/or Maine Master Floral Designer certification preferred, but not required.
