This groundbreaking approach aims to address critical unmet needs in healthcare with precision and elegance.Role DescriptionAtlanta-based on-site opportunity for a passionate, patient-focused R&D Engineer who is motivated to join an innovative company focused on developing a novel transcatheter solution to patients suffering from mitral valve disease. This is a hands-on opportunity where the engineer will work closely as a part of the product development team to develop and execute design test methods, implement design refinements, and perform device testing. This role will enable the engineer to gain relevant industry experience pertaining to device development and structural heart procedures. The engineer will have the opportunity to develop design skills and act as an integral and contributing member of the development and testing team. The engineer will assist the team in execution of verification testing to facilitate the advancement of CARLEN into the clinical phase to improve the quality of life of patients suffering from secondary mitral regurgitation. The engineer will report to the Vice President of Product Development and will work directly with principal and senior product development engineers. QualificationsA Bachelor's degree in Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering.Previous experience in product development through internships or co-ops is preferred.Good working knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and quality control protocols.Experience with 3D modeling software.Strong ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with fluctuating priorities, and collaborate effectively with others.Excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to set own priorities in a timely manner.Creative problem identification and problem solving.Driven - approaches activities with a sense of urgency and ownership.High degree of flexibility and adaptability.Strong communication (verbal and written).High degree of integrity, transparency, and willingness to share knowledge.
