Associate Director NPI Engineering

The Associate Engineering Director will lead the engineering group responsible for introducing new liquid cooling products. This role combines people leadership, organizational execution, technical expertise, strategic influence, and operational excellence. The goal is to ensure the design intent is fulfilled and products are delivered with world-class quality and efficiency. The leader will coordinate multiple teams, including other managers, and play a substantial role in crafting both technical direction and organizational capability. WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION People Leadership Lead and develop a department of engineers and managers, encouraging a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration. Build a strong leadership pipeline through mentorship, coaching, and stretch assignments. Nurture career advancement, promotions, and leadership growth throughout the engineering organization. Develop leadership pipeline, influence hiring & retention. Organizational Execution Ensure outstanding performance in engineering throughout new product introduction programs. Define and implement engineering-wide guidelines, frameworks, and standards. Partner with cross-functional leaders across multiple levels to align engineering execution with business objectives. Drive process efficiency and scale practices across teams. Technical Knowledge Provide technical guidance and mentorship in liquid cooling product development. Align build intent with manufacturing capabilities through strong DFM and CTQ enforcement. Build long-term technical investment strategies and capability roadmaps. Ensure engineering solutions meet both customer requirements and operational feasibility. Strategic Influence Work together with executives to ensure technical and organizational vision matches the business strategy. Guide organizational processes and frameworks to enable scalable growth. Represent engineering in strategic discussions, ensuring technical priorities are reflected in business planning. Process & Operational Excellence: Champion continuous improvement in engineering processes, operational efficiency, and execution within the field. Implement performance management based on clear engineering results. Ensure organizational readiness for scaling new product introductions globally. Drive operational excellence through Six Sigma, Lean, and outstanding engineering practices. YOU HAVE Bachelor's degree in engineering with an emphasis in thermal or related field required. Master's degree preferred. 12+ years of related engineering experience, with at least 5+ years in leadership roles managing leaders or engineering teams required. Strong background in DFM, CTQ enforcement, and engineering execution frameworks. Demonstrated success in leadership development, mentorship, and organizational scaling. Ability to influence at executive levels and build long-term technical and organizational strategies. Excellent communication, collaboration, and partner management skills. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply. Compensation Range $146,300.00 - $271,700.00 Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
