Job DescriptionWork4ce Inc. is looking for a Controls Engineer in Georgetown, Kentucky to work with a major automotive manufacturer.About the RoleThe Controls Engineer will be responsible for the electrical design on mechanical/hydraulic power stamping presses and related automation upgrades.This Includes HMI Design, PLC Design, Safety PLC Design, Hardwire Layouts, Panel Layouts, Risk Assessments, Field Device Layouts, Installation Supervision and Full Line Commissioning.ResponsibilitiesHMI Design:Create new HMI programs using GP-pro software on Proface hardwareModify existing HMI programs using GP-pro software on Proface hardwareReview and verify HMI programs during customer buyoffsPLC Design:Create new PLC programs using Studio 5000, RSLinx, IAB, MPE720, PCwin, Memosoft, Simatic Step 7 software on Allen-Bradley, Yaskawa, Toyopuc, Siemens hardwareModify existing PLC programs using Studio 5000, RSLinx, IAB, MPE720, PCwin, Memosoft, Simatic Step 7 software on Allen-Bradley, Yaskawa, Toyopuc, Siemens hardwareReview and verify PLC design during customer buyoffsSafety PLC Design:Create new Safety PLC programs using Studio 5000, RSLinx, IAB, Simatic Step 7 software on Allen-Bradley and Siemens hardwareModify existing Safety PLC programs using Studio 5000, RSLinx, IAB, Simatic Step 7 software on Allen-Bradley and Siemens hardwareReview and verify Safety PLC design during customer buyoffsHardwire Layouts:Create new Hardware Layouts using IAB and AutoCAD Electrical softwareModify existing Hardware Layouts using IAB and AutoCAD Electrical softwareReview and verify Hardwire Layout during customer buyoffsPanel Layouts:Create new Panel Layouts using AutoCAD Electrical softwareModify existing Panel Layouts using AutoCAD Electrical softwareReview and verify Panel Layouts during customer buyoffsRisk Assessments:Preform Risk Assessments on projects regarding bid selection, hardware procurement, and installation timingField Device Layouts:Create new Field Device Layouts using IAB and AutoCAD Electrical softwareModify existing Field Device Layouts using IAB and AutoCAD Electrical softwareReview and verify Field Device Layouts during customer buyoffsInstallation Supervision:Supervise Engineers, Electricians, and Millwrights during installation of various Press upgradesProvide direction on installation tasks to Engineers, Electricians, and MillwrightsBring resolution to any construction related items during installationFull Line Commissioning:Provide Full Line Commissioning support before, during, and after installation of various press upgrade projects which includes PLC, Electrical, and Mechanical supportQualificationsBS in Electrical Engineering/technologies or technician degree or Equivalent Work Experience.Required SkillsAutoCad Electrical ExperiencePLC programming experience (Rockwell, Mitsubishi and Siemens preferred) – Must HaveElectrical hardware design and modification experienceExperience with equipment demolition, installation, and commissioningAbility to multitask.Works well within a team environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAble to travel and work in Canada and MexicoAble to work weekends and holidays as necessaryPay range and compensation package$30-35/hr + benefits
