Job Title: Mechanical CAD Designer – HVAC / Plumbing (AutoCAD & Revit)Company: Kartchner Engineering Location: Spokane (Downtown) Job Type: Full-Time Schedule: 40 hours per week Salary: $50,000 – $65,000 per year (DOE)Job SummaryKartchner Engineering is seeking a Mechanical CAD Designer with experience in HVAC and plumbing system drafting and design to join our team in downtown Spokane.This role supports our engineers in the development of construction documents, system layouts, and mechanical designs for building projects. The ideal candidate is proficient in AutoCAD and Revit, detail-oriented, and comfortable collaborating with engineering teams.ResponsibilitiesCreate and modify HVAC and plumbing construction drawings using AutoCAD and Revit &BIM 360Assist engineers with mechanical system layouts and design documentationDevelop detailed plans, sections, and system diagramsCoordinate with architectural, structural, and other engineering disciplinesRevise drawings based on project updates and engineer feedbackMaintain CAD/BIM standards and organized project filesFamiliarity with architectural drawings & modelsQualifications1–5+ years of experience in HVAC and/or plumbing drafting or mechanical designProficiency in AutoCAD (MEP knowledge is a plus)Working knowledge of Revit & BIM 360 (at least 6-months)Familiarity with Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to read and interpret construction and engineering drawingsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to work in a collaborative team environmentBenefitsCompetitive salary: $50,000 – $65,000 depending on experienceHealthcare benefitsPerformance bonuses401(k) retirement planDowntown parkingWork ScheduleFull-time (40 hours per week)Hybrid schedule: Employees must work in the office Monday–Wednesday, with flexibility for the remaining business hours.Work LocationDowntown office in Spokane.
