Software Engineer II - DevOps/DevSecOps
Overview:
In this role you will design, implement, and maintain secure software development environments across on-premises and cloud. You will build and operate CI/CD pipelines and Kubernetes deployments, including air-gapped setups, to ensure reproducible, high-quality software delivery. You will integrate security practices throughout the development lifecycle and implement observability to enable proactive monitoring. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize processes while meeting stringent compliance requirements. Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines
- Manage Kubernetes deployments (incl. Big Bang framework)
- Develop and operate secure infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform or Ansible
- Establish comprehensive observability and monitoring
- Integrate security practices across the development lifecycle
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize processes and ensure reproducible delivery
- Support air-gapped environments and hybrid on-prem/cloud setups
- Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements
Key requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Typically 2+ years of related experience
- Strong understanding of at least one programming language
- Solid grasp of software development principles
- Ability to design, code, test, and debug complex software development environments
- Experience with Agile or Scrum/Kanban methodologies
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearancestrong communicationteamworkproblem-solving
