A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ASSISTANT SALES MANAGER
As an Assistant Sales Manager, you have three kinds of responsibilities. The first is customer service. This is where you provide an outstanding customer experience that exceeds expectations. You do this by initiating friendly communication, answering questions, and sharing valuable suggestions. As needed, you ask open-ended questions to determine a customer's needs and confidently demonstrate product knowledge or solutions.
You're also responsible for meeting daily, weekly, and monthly sales goals. You communicate with the sales team about new merchandise and operations. Additionally, you ensure that everyone promptly completes the daily performance summary and the store quarterly minimum summary when needed. Some of your other duties include training new employees, providing feedback, and maintaining good performance levels. In addition, you provide ongoing training in product knowledge and selling skills.
Your last responsibility is taking care of various store operations. You attend meetings, maintain store cleanliness, perform inventories, answer phones, and create displays for new merchandise. As a leader, you deal with money and maintain cash security practices to prevent theft. You perform point of sale functions, open or close registers, and ensure the integrity of the exchanges or deposits. You're a key member of our store and feel accomplished as you keep our operations running smoothly and efficiently!
Pay: $18-$20 Hr + plus 1% bonus when meet sales goal (excludes sales tax, sales of gift cards, employees sales)
QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN ASSISTANT SALES MANAGER
At least 18 years old
Customer service skills or experience
Ability to pass a background check upon hire
Ability to work a varied and flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
Ability to move and lift items up to 50 pounds

WORK SCHEDULE FOR AN ASSISTANT SALES MANAGER
The hours for this full-time or part-time customer service position are based on both personal and store sales and can fluctuate, depending on the season. The ability to work a varying schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays is necessary.
