We foster communities of practice to promote equitable communication and connection to vital services across Allen County and Northeast Indiana. Our work professionalizes bilingual community members into credentialed interpreters who serve healthcare, social service, and recovery settings.The OpportunityWe are hiring a part-time Program Coordinator to help deliver our interpreter training programs and grow our community of practice. This role is the operational engine behind our nationally accredited Community Interpreter® training cohorts — coordinating logistics, supporting participants, building relationships with partner agencies, and tracking the outcomes that sustain our work. It is an ideal fit for a bilingual, community-connected professional who wants meaningful, flexible part-time work with direct impact on immigrant and refugee communities.Reports to: Executive DirectorWhat You'll DoCoordinate interpreter training cohorts — manage participant recruitment, scheduling, venue and materials logistics, and communications for our 40-hour Community Interpreter® training.Support participants — serve as the friendly point of contact for trainees throughout each cohort, helping them stay on track to completion.Manage the Community of Practice — help organize convenings, community events, and online resources that connect interpreters and partner organizations.Assist with organizational training — support delivery of training and language access planning for partner agencies in healthcare, social services, and recovery.Track outcomes — collect and organize participation data, feedback, and results to support grant reporting and program improvement.Grow into a trainer role — complete national Train-the-Trainer licensure (supported by the Lab) to help expand our local training capacity over time.What We're Looking ForRequired:Fluency in English and at least one other language commonly spoken in our community.Strong organizational skills and reliability working independently with minimal supervision.Comfort with Google Workspace products, email, scheduling, documents, and basic data tracking (e.g., spreadsheets or online forms).Connection to, and understanding of, the immigrant and refugee communities of Allen County.Willingness to complete Train-the-Trainer licensure (provided by the Lab).Interpreting or translation experience, or familiarity with language access work.Preferred (not required):A bachelor's degree, or equivalent lived or work experience.Experience coordinating programs, events, training, or volunteers.We especially encourage bilingual community members, interpreters, and graduates of interpreter training programs to apply.
