Operations SupervisorJob Category: Operations CSL Requisition Number: OPERA007899 Location: Houston, TX 77073, USA DescriptionEssential Job Functions: Coordinates daily and weekly activities, planning workloads and staffing accordingly Accountable for production, supervision and discipline of employees, and conflict resolution Monitor and evaluate employees based on goals and standards Enforce policy and procedure compliance Coordinate with other departments within the company Respond to & solve production problems Train employees on job specific duties and develops employees through coaching Make suggestions and show initiative for process improvements Effectively communicate with clients, vendors, and employees Assist Operations Manager with planning and budget process Other duties as assigned Other Skills & Abilities: Problem solving- identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner Client Service- manages difficult client situations, responds promptly to client needs and welcome client feedback Quality management-look for ways to improve and promote quality and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness Physical Requirements: Talking, hearing and using hands to operate a computer keyboard, mouse and other computer components Sitting for extended periods of time Walking within the warehouse and inspecting freight Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus Job will require regular and punctual attendance on-site at the assigned work location. Education & Experience: College Degree in logistics or business administration Minimum 4 years of industry experience required Experience with Microsoft Office Suite Certifications and Licenses: Professional certification may be required in some areas.
