Electrical Engineer - Power Systems Design Syncore | South Florida Position Summary Syncore is seeking a permanent Electrical Engineer with Design and Project Management Experience. This role is responsible for performing fundamental engineering duties such as formulating designs, conducting field tests, troubleshooting, as well field equipment commissioning when applicable. Key Responsibilities Practical design knowledge of Power System's Protection Schemes to include, but not limited to Generator, Transformer, and Bus protection. Work closely with project management teams to ensure that project designs adhere to current codes and regulations. Provide technical and training support as required. Provide leadership to on-site staff, sub-contractors, and other parties as applicable. Strictly adhere to NEC, NFPA, and Engineering Standards. Produce electrical designs and related support services for small to large projects, with limited supervision. Effectively communicating errors/concerns with drawing with engineering and management. Maintaining accurate digital drawing file storage. Knowledge - Skills - Abilities Knowledge, skill, and experience with MicroStation and AutoCAD. Knowledge of design of Electrical Power Distribution and Control Panels. Knowledge of NEC and NFPA. Good interpersonal and communications skills (both written and verbal) are required when dealing with both internal and external customers. Ability to work under little to no supervision. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organizational skills and an extremely high level of attention to detail.
