If that sounds like you, we’d love to build together!Your RoleWe want to create a sitewide experience that is easy and welcoming for our students and teachers. You’ll play a big role in making that happen. Here are some things you’ll be doing:Develop web pages using React, Next.js, Typescript, and CSSDesign UI/UX for new and existing pagesWork with other developers to integrate UI with backend functionalityTest and optimize user interfacesConduct experiments to find optimal page layoutsMaintain the Blooket brand-identity through fun and interesting interfacesWhat We’re Looking ForWe’re looking for someone who has a deep understanding of frontend development, specifically with Next.js. You’ll have to have a creative side that ensures the site looks visually pleasing, while also maintaining a good user experience and implementing it through code. To help ensure you can handle this, here are some qualifications:At least 5 years in a Frontend Development focused roleA deep understanding of React, Next.js, Typescript, and CSSStrong knowledge of Next.js’s server-side renderingA keen eye for details in user experienceCreative and design skills to develop beautiful interfaces from scratchPortfolio of some relevant projects and designsExperience with containerized environments and build toolsExperience building out shared frontend components and toolsStrong knowledge of frontend technologies and passion to stay updatedExcellent organizational and communication skillsExcitement about the impact your work could have on the lives of students and teachers every dayBonus: Passion for gamesBenefits & CompensationTotal compensation for this role is market competitive, including a starting base salary of $140,000- $240,000 depending on work experience, performance, and other factors evaluated during the hiring process.21 vacation daysRemoteCompetitive health, dental, and vision insuranceEmployer-sponsored 401k planWorking with a small team where you can immediately see your impact
