DescriptionFull-time General Warehouse Worker - $16.00/ HRMust be able to work Monday thru Friday 7:00am-3:45pm with occasional mandatory Overtime 6:00am-4:45pm Health, Dental, Disability and Life Insurance – 1st day of Employment4 weeks of vacation your first full yearVision Insurance401K Matching after 90 days of employmentEmployee DiscountsReferral Program ($500-$1,000)Climate Controlled work environmentSummary: The batch order puller is responsible for using a Lucas headset to pick and pack book orders according to verbal order specification list with a level of accuracy and productivity by following standard procedures to achieve an acceptable performance level.Essential Functions: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position:Regular, reliable attendance is required as work cannot be performed remotely.Receive constructive performance feedbackPick and pack product per the Lucas headset commandVerify barcode against productVerify all boxes/totes using computer or hand held devicePush all boxes/totes on the conveyor lineChange zones to pick and pack product whenever necessaryFollow safety rules for personal safety and the safety of others; including maintaining a clean and safe work environment.Comprehend verbal directions and communicate with team members in a team environment.Maintain a minimum of 99.80% accuracy every weekVisually identify by inspecting books for damaged product and place in designated area.Non-Essential FunctionsOther duties may be assigned, directed or requested.QualificationsHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED).1-3 months of order pulling experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and distribution experience may be substituted.Physical RequirementsMust be able to stand up to 8- 10 hours in a day.Must be able to listen and follow voice command instructions.Must be able to walk up to 6-10 hours.Will continuously reach up and out.Will occasionally climb stairsWill occasionally push/pull up to 25 pounds and occasionally push/pull up to 50 pounds.Will frequently lift up to 50 pounds.Will occasionally have repetitive foot movement.Will frequently have repetitive hand/arm movements for simple reaching, simple and firm grasping, and/or fine hand manipulation.Specific vision ability required by this job includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.Use hands to finger, handle or feel objects; and reach with hands and arms.Language SkillsAbility to print and speak simple sentences both written and verbally, in English.Ability to read a limited number of two and three syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between a series of numbers.Mathematical SkillsAbility to add and subtract basic mathReasoning AbilityAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram formAbility to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situationsWork EnvironmentThe work performed is in a distribution environmentThe employee is frequently exposed to vibrations and dust and will be working around moving machineryThe noise level in the work environment is usually moderate at low decibelsMust be able to work in a fast paced, team environmentReaderLink is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
