Our team focuses on precision and speed, handling large-scale projects with care while keeping our people-first philosophy—so every team member goes home safe at the end of the day. Role OverviewRoXteel is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Kitter/Laborer to join our team. This position is key to making sure our ironworkers have all the parts needed to assemble each project. You’ll work with Quality Control and Material Handlers to prepare and assemble materials (kits) for specific projects, and support general shop operations.If you’re someone who takes pride in your work, enjoys working with your hands, and wants to grow your skills in the steel industry, this is a great place to start. Key ResponsibilitiesAssist Quality Control in receiving, sorting and listing new materialOrganize material into kits for the production teamAccurately read a tape measure to 1/16” for marking and organizing steelMove, lift, and organize steel, tools, and scrap throughout the yardMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work areaAssist with loading and unloading materialsOperate power tools such as drills, impacts, and grinders safely and efficientlyCommunicate effectively with team members and supervisorsFollow all RoXteel safety guidelines and shop standards QualificationsAbility to pass a background check and drug screenReliable transportation and consistent punctualityAble to work in the heat and stand for most of the shiftCapable of lifting 50+ lbs. regularlyMust be able to read a tape measure accurately to 1/16" (non-negotiable skill)Basic blue print reading experience a plusComfortable working alone or as part of a teamProfessional working proficiency in English Skills & AbilitiesAttention to detail and pride in producing quality workEager to learn and grow within the tradeDependable and hardworkingPositive attitude and willingness to jump in where neededStrong safety awareness ScheduleMonday-Thursday | 5 am - 4 pmFridays | 5 am -3 pmOccasional Saturday's to meet deadlines Compensation & Benefits$19+/hour DOESteady, long-term work in a supportive environmentFirst-time homebuyer program with $500 bonus and optional realtor/mortgage supportDave Ramsey SmartDollar financial education resourcesFull benefits including medical, dental, vision, PTO, and sick time401(k) with company match and profit-sharing contributionsFamily-friendly events and team-building activitiesBirthday and work anniversary recognitionCash bonuses for production roles and internal growth opportunities
